Call for Symposia

Symposia submissions are now open


The deadline for symposia proposals is January 15, 2026.

Primary contacts will be informed of the decision of the Scientific Committee by February 15, 2026.


Presentation format (60 minutes)

Symposia will consist of a series of in-depth, state-of-the-art scientific lectures in important areas of concussion research that will bridge to an impact on best practices and policy in concussion across the lifespan. Presentations are followed by a moderated discussion period, including audience participation through Q&A. Symposia should include a maximum of 3-4 speakers and a moderator (Note: The moderator can be one of the speakers). The review committee strongly encourages inclusion of speakers with wide-ranging perspectives (e.g., clinician, industry or community partners, persons with lived experience) as well as the inclusion of at least one trainee member.


Content

Focus of proposals can include one or more of the following four themes: Prevention, Detection/ diagnosis, Prognosis/modifiers or Treatment of concussion. Content can highlight methodological approaches, knowledge translation, industry/commercialization or community partnerships, and/or early career contributions.


Proposal

Your submission must include the information outlined below and communicate the value and significance of the topic and speaker(s) to enable the Program and Scientific Committees to judge the merit of the proposal.

  • Title of symposium (“catchy” titles are welcome)
  • Names, titles, contact information and short bios of speakers
  • Name, title and contact information of moderator
  • Description of symposium (including brief description of each presentation)
  • Implications for the field/contributions and/or learning objectives
  • Aligned theme(s): Prevention; Detection and diagnosis; Prognosis and modifiers; Treatment

All submissions must be completed online by January 15, 2026 : https://www.ccn-rccevent.com


Please note: An individual speaker who appears on more than one accepted submission will only be permitted to speak in one symposium at the Meeting.


Submitting authors of accepted symposia are required to ensure registration and accommodation arrangements have been made for each of their panelists, and that all presentation materials are collected, assembled in order of appearance, and submitted no later than 5pm MDT on Monday, April 20, 2026.
